During the late ’80s, the German two-piece band INDIVIDUAL TOTEM was formed by electronic music pioneers Bernd Madl and Mathias Knopp. Their progressive electro-industrial music beyond the typical 4/4 dancefloor was often described as intelligent electro. The band was signed to Off Beat in Europe and Pendragon in the United States and released several now-classic CDs including S.E.T.I., Mind Sculptures Flesh and WWW.
After 6 years of silence INDIVIDUAL TOTEM was revoked by Bernd Madl and Jürgen Moßgraber joined the project. This new set-up released a lot of creativity and resulted in the new album Kyria 13 which will be released in August 2013. The album is based on a SF story. Following the story line gives them the opportunity to visit a wide variety of electronic genres.
