A Japanese producer and promoter specializing in Western music. At Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd., from 1993 to 2002, he signed Western artists in Japan, released under the Portazul imprint, and marketed Curb Records artists in Japan as well. The Portazul and Curb artist repertoires were later spun out to Heat Wave Co., Ltd. and Heat Wave International from 1999 to 2001 (marked by the use of the Curb Denon Records brand).

In 2003, he then launched Jroom as a successor label at Columbia Music Entertainment, Inc. In 2009, he left Columbia and continues to produce jazz and classical crossover music under his own production company.
