Formed as a christian industrial metal band in 1988 by
Scott Albert (aka
Klay Scott/
Klayton) after the disbanding of his former thrash metal band
Immortal. The ’90s live line-up also included Jason Tilton and Daren Klank Diolosa. The project was disbanded in 1998 and resurrected in 2016, separating itself from the earlier christian identity.
The second album [m=18537] was originally not an album by Circle Of Dust but a re-release of the earlier album
Mindwarp (1992) by Brainchild (2), a side-project of Scott Albert. R.E.X. Music did this because they wanted Klayton to make a second Circle Of Dust album but without having the money to produce it.
