Gavin Martin was a British music journalist, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1977. He started his own fanzine Alternative Ulster (which Stiff Little Fingers later used as a song title). He went on to write for the NME, The Times, Uncut, Independent, Guardian, and the Daily Mirror. He lived in London.
