In 1971 Manuel Marinelli was a member of the short-lived Andalusian progressive band Gong, who made one album, A Leadbelly, on Polydor. Other members were Luis 'Manglis' Cobo (guitar), Manolo Rosa (bass) & Juan José 'Tele' Palacios (drums). On 1972 he joined The Keys and they became Tartesos, until 1977 when he founded Alameda.
