American jazz & dance band guitarist and banjoist & vocalist.

Born August 22, 1897 in Belleville, New Jersey, USA.
Died July 28, 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.
Lucas started his career as a jazz & dance band guitarist and banjoist, and later became very prominent as a popular vocalist.
Lucas was a long-time pitch man for Gibson Guitars including guitars that bore his name. Lucas was also known as an author for his guitar method books such as The Nick Lucas Hawaiian Guitar Method and The Nick Lucas Plectrum Guitar Method.
