1949 - moved to Italy where was contacted by Renato Carosone and Gegè Di Giacomo to form a trio
1965 - Van Wood and his band started their world tour, with concerts at the Olympia in Paris and also at Carnegie Hall in New York.
He recorded for Pathé and other labels and participated in four movies.
As an astrologer, he was a famous TV personality for years.
