Ray Chino Diaz was born and raised in New York City, in the lower east side, little italy. A virtuoso guira and tambora player, he maintains strong ties to his Caribbean heritage by preserving the authentic merengue rhythms of The Dominican Republic.Ray has been in the music business for over 35 years and continues to record or produce music for artist like Prince Royce,Mana,Giovanni Hidalgo and more.
He also plays conga, timbale and bongos he is an accomplished dance music re-mix engineer. His unique re-mix style fuses traditional Latin rhythms with contemporary electronic dance beats, and he has worked on records for artists like Enrique Iglesias,Tony Moran and the Latin Rapper El General.
