Singer and Songwriter originally, TM started her career in showbiz as a dancer. After a classical academic dance-education, and classes in all styles she became the soloist of a successful showdance group. A few years and many performances (including a showtour in Egypt) later, she felt it was time for a change. She started studying jazz and Brazilian music at the Conservatoire in Hilversum and Amsterdam. At that same time she founded her own jazz quartet with professional musicians, allowing her to perform as a jazz diva in clubs and fance places.. In 2000, when TM graduated from the conservatoire, she won a scholarship to qualify at the institute of the Brazilian Music Adolfo in Rio de Janeiro. Back from her stay in Rio, TM wished to broaden her musical horizon even further by exploring dance music. She started writing songs in English and Portuguese and then sensed it was time to blend all these musical experiences. As far as dance goes, TM writes songs and cooperates in several dance productions by the name of Tyrah Morena. She has developed her own specific sound and style which has become a dance crossover of drum and bass, breakbeats, triphop, deephouse, groovy stuff, tribal fusion, funky progressive, jungle and ambient downtempro with a lot of exotic jazzy latin vibes that perfectly suit her sensual warm voice.
