Post-hardcore / noise-rock band, formed in 1996 in Cardiff, Wales.
Members: Andy Falkous (vocals, guitar), Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals), Matthew Harding (drums 1996-2003) ), Jack Egglestone (drums 2003 onwards). This phase of mclusky disbanded on 7th January 2005: Chapple went on to form Shooting At Unarmed Men; Falkous and Egglestone Future Of The Left.
In 2014 the then-current lineup of Future Of The Left played two benefit shows as mclusky, and in 2015 performed as mclusky* to denote that it was not the full original band. Reverting to the original name but now with Damien Sayell on bass & vocals, they toured in 2019-20. A tour planned for 2022 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of [m=50675] was delayed until 2024; meanwhile they began recording new material, with a 4 track EP released in 2023 and album on Ipecac Recordings in 2025.
