The trio of Victor Prudovsky debuted at the Moscow Youth Jazz Ensembles Festival in 1965, where they presented an original version of
Vano Muradeli's famous song
Don't Be Sad («Не грусти»). Members of the trio also participated in the same festival as part of
Georgiy Garanian Sextet.
