He worked for [l13531]/ [l45383] (1961–1965), A&M Records (1965–1969), Blue Thumb Records (1968–1974), [l1000] (1974–1978, 1979–1990), A&M/[l68215] (1978–1979), [l651] (1990–1995) and [l1071]/[l5041] (1994–2011).
He was a key figure in the career development of such artists as Michael Franks and Diana Krall. A highly influential producer, he inspired the careers of many younger producers like John Snyder, Arnaldo DeSouteiro and Larry Rosen.
