“Zlatni dukati” today “Najbolji hrvatski tamburaši” are a vocal-instrumental-tambura ensemble (long-necked plucked lute / a stringed instrument) which musical beginnings date far back to the year 1983 with their 1st studio album “Ni sokaci nisu što su nekad bili”. Today this particular album is considered to mark the Zero Hour in relation to Croatian music releases outside the former Yugoslavia context (released by Jugoton Records). At that time Zlatni dukati were:
Zoran Bucković - Tambura, primary
Stanko Šarić - Bass, prim.
Zdravko Šljivac - Bass, prim.
Željko Miloš (Jinx) - Violoncello
Mario Pleše - Double Bass
Mato Lukačević - Bass
Marijan Majdak - Vocals
In June 2007 the ensemble celebrated its 20th anniversary.
