His images were used in NME and Melody Maker as well as on covers and booklets of releases by such artists as Led Zeppelin, Jerry Garcia, David Bowie, Elton John and The Jackson Five. He and Amen Corner's frontman Andy Fairweather-Low became brothers-in-law when Fairweather-Low married Jones' sister.
