Spanish rock-blues band from the late 70’s, they started as
Mermelada de Lentejas (Lentils’ jam). Members: Javier Teixidor (guitar, leader), Daniel Montemayor (bass), Antonio Yenes (drums) & Javier Encinas el Moro (tenor sax, later on
Mamá and
Desperados). In 1985 Antonio Melgar (drums) replaced Antonio Yenes, and entered Juan Carlos Camacho (singer), joining Teixidor, Montemayor and ‘el Moro’ and releasing three albums. In 1988 they split up but they re-joined in 1991 to release two more albums.
Later Teixidor with Daniel Montemayor, Antonio Melgar and
Emilio Galiacho (keyboards, ex-Los Elegantes) founded
J. Teixi Band.
