Paul was a successful part of the New York music scene for three decades. In the 60's Peter Paul was involved, together with
Lew Futterman and President of Concert House. Among the artists Paul worked with during the sixties were:
Jay & The Americans,
Brother Jack McDuff,
Jimmy Witherspoon,
Clarence Frogman Henry,
Carol Ventura,
Little Anthony & The Imperials, the Bill Black's Combo.
He was hired in 1972 by
Creed Taylor as artist liaison and talent director for [l11717]. Paul was responsible for planning and delivering the various
CTI All-Stars Live concerts etc. right through until 1976. Paul was promoted to VP of business affairs and artists relations.
In 1977, Columbia lured Paul and
Bob James, giving James his own imprint [l31669]. Paul was initially Tappan Zee as general manager, and Bob James personal manager.
In 1981 reactivated [l1362346], which operated in the fields of personal management, music publishing and record producing.
