Israeli pop-rock band formed in late 1966 by
Arik Einstein,
Shmulik Kraus, and
Josie Katz. The trio recorded one self-titled album,
The High Windows = החלונות הגבוהים, which was certified platinum in Israel, and broke up in 1968. The group reformed in 1973, with
Eli Magen replacing Einstein, recording three songs in the studio before disbanding again in 1974. In 2008, daily newspaper Yediot Ahranot selected
The High Windows as the most important album of the 1960s.
