Norman Blagman (August 18, 1926 - September 28, 2018) was an American songwriter and producer. He was born on August 18, 1926 in New York City, New York, and died on September 28, 2018 at the Actors Fund Home in Englewood, New Jersey. After serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II, he entered the music business. Among his original compositions were the title song for the Earl Fatha Hines album Jazz is His Old Lady, the audition song Love Power sung by Dick Shawn in the original movie production of The Producers, and two songs recorded by Elvis Presley. His biggest hits included Put the Blame on Me“ and Give Me the Right.
