Ralph Marco Band

1970s studio formation conducted by Ralph Marco, an alias of pianist and composer Werner Drexler. The band’s primary purpose was to adapt the so-called Philly Sound, a mixture of cuddly soft soul, dance floor proven funk and european impressionistic orchestra sound, which paved the way for the disco wave starting in the mid 1970s. The recordings took place between 1971 and 1978.
Bootleggers have also used the names Baby Gravy or Babygravy.
