Finnish blues rock group.
The group's founders include Heikki Silvennoinen, known from the Kummeli sketches, the Löyttun brothers Mikko and Sakari, and Mikko Kuustonen. Kuustonen had previously worked as a singer in the gospel band Pro Fide. The band was also joined by keyboardist Harri Taittonen, who was later replaced by Markku Max Tabell.
Q.Stone's business stalled after Kuustonen began to focus more and more on his own solo career and Silvennoinen's Kummeli sketch series. However, Ariel Neulaniemi got the band to perform at the Larry Norman memorial night he organized at the Tavastia club on May 27, 2008. The band performed in its original lineup with guitarist Marzi Nyman. Norman, who died in February 2008 and was called the father of Christian rock, had produced Q.Stone's first album. Q.Stone also plays on Larry Norman's 1990 live album Live at Flevo.
In the summer of 2013, Q.Stone performed a series of concerts at various festivals in Finland with Mikko Kuustonen, Heikki Silvennoinen, Mikko Löytty, Sakari Löytty and Max Tabell. Additionally, a compilation album of Q.Stone's productions, The Thrill Is Back (2013), was released.
