MORANE is a project started in the early 2000’s by house music producer and Perlon co-founder Markus Nikolai with songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Theo Krieger (who teamed up with Markus years ago and already played all acoustic instruments on his [m=55405] album) and singer & bass player Annika Müller de Vries. Morane line-up consists of a guitar, bass, various other instruments and a computer.

Morane released two 12-inch records on Perlon (PERL 34 [m=850017] and PERL 44 The Beach) and their debut album with pop material was later presented by Nikolai and Krieger’s newly established label More Down Than Out.
