Canadian country music bassist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and record company executive. He was the third Canadian to have a track enter the Billboard country music charts (Happy to Be Unhappy” in 1963). Co-founder of label Arpeggio (3) in 1972. Founder of publishing companies Broadland Music Ltd., Doubleplay Music, and Grandslam Music in 1972. Founder of label Broadland in 1974 (which he sold controlling interest in, along with the two publishing companies, to Quality Records Limited in 1976). Founded label GB (3) in 1977. Founded Broadland International in 1990.

Buck served five terms as international director of the Country Music Association in Nashville, co-founded the Canadian Country Music Association and founded the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, which inducted him in 2001.
