Danish big band project in 1996 made of twenty talented musicians, handpicked among conservatory student from 15 nations. The Brande International Music Workshop Orchestra (BIMWO) was based on an idea by Birgit Vinge (Administrator) and Erik Moseholm (Artistic Director) in Autumn '94. Rehearsals started in Brande, Denmark on August 14th 1996 - and BIMWO was the forerunner of the 1998 to 2013 [l1932768] project The European Jazz Youth Orchestra/European Jazz Orchestra.
