He got his start in the music industry through an undergraduate internship during his time at Rutgers. In 2004 he began working as an assistant in the A&R department at Universal Motown Records Group before moving over to Republic Records. He joined Columbia Records in 2013 as VP of A&R, and became Co-CEO of Universal Music Group‘s Island Records, effective Jan. 1, 2022 (alongside
Justin Eshak).
