American jazz clarinetist and alto/soprano saxophonist, died January 1968.
With Fess Williams in the late 1920s, toured with King Oliver 1930, again with Fess Williams 1931, with Mills Blue Rhythm Band and Chick Webb in early 1930s, Tiny Bradshaw 1934-1935 and pianist Maurice Rocco in 1938.
