German drummer from the Hamburg region. He joined the Beat band The German Bonds in 1969 and became founding member of Asterix and its successor Lucifer's Friend in 1970.
As the other members, Rietenbach played in the early 1970's also as studio drummer. In 1973, he was replaced in the band due to his deteriorating health state. In 1974, Rietenbach died.
