American country music songwriter and author. Also known as Mike Kosser. May appear on releases misspelled as Kooser. Also authored books under the pen name Mike Roarke.

Born December 19, 1941, in Mount Vernon, New York. Raised in Westchester County, New York. Relocated to Nashville in 1971 to become a songwriter. Co-wrote the script for 1983's release on The History Of Country Music. Authored How Nashville Became Music City, U.S.A.: 50 Years of Music Row.
