South German radio orchestra affilitaed with the [l324868] (SDR), Stuttgart. It was founded in 1945 as Kleines Symphonie-Orchester Stuttgart and appeared under different names over the years, as Sinfonieorchester des Süddeutschen Rundfunks between 1949-1959. Chief conductor was Hans Müller-Kray.
