Washington DC guitarist, born Jimmie Silman III in Bethesda, Maryland. He began playing bluegrass, country and rock guitar while attending St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, North Carolina and then returned to DC, playing with Tex Rubinowitz & The Bad Boys and forming rockabilly band Switchblade. He went on to become a news videographer.
