Københavns Musikkontor (KMK) was a Danish musician-driven booking and management agency located in Copenhagen and operating under this name from 1979 to 1990.
HistoryInspired by the musician-driven booking agency in Aarhus (with roots back to 1973, see
Århus Musikkontor), a group of musicians from Copenhagen established Københavns Musikkontor in 1978. Among the initiators were
Flemming Madsen, who brought experience from the Århus Musikkontor, and
Finn Thorkildsen, who was the first employed booker” at the office. Later, in 1985,
Jens Hofman was manager. In 1988 Københavns Musikkontor was changed into an “anpartsselskab” (ApS), named Københavns Musikkontor 88 ApS and managed by Naja Marie Aidt and Per Kaufmann. Københavns Musikkontor was a part of the nationwide umbrella organisation De Danske Musikkontorer, see
Århus Musikkontor for more info.
