Wells, known as 'Cynderella' or 'Miss Cinderella', was part of the L.A. freak-scene in the late 60s.

She was among the retinue of the Vito Paulekas & Carl Franzoni troupe, known as 'The Laurel Canyon Dance Company' and then became a member of Frank Zappa's project 'Girls Together Outrageously' aka GTO's.

Wells was married to John Cale in 1970.
