American singer-songwriter in Austin, Texas. After attending the University of North Texas, Van Dyke moved to Austin, Texas in the late 1980s. He played solo at folk venues before forming the Andy Van Dyke Band, which became hard rock group Drop The Gun. In 1994, he formed alt-county band Rainravens with fellow Drop The Gun member David Ducharme-Jones.
