Hirofumi Asamoto (1963 Nov 20 - 2016 Nov 30) was an influental Japanese musician and producer.
He was playing keyboards for goth rock band Auto-Mod that he joined in 1985, then joined the dub band Mute Beat the following year. He left in 1989 and formed his own project, Ram Jam World in 1991 and later KAM in 2011. In the late '80s he started to work as a session musician, producer and composer and over the years worked with many acts, including Flipper's Guitar, Denki Groove, The Mods, The Ryders, UA, Go-Bang's, Kyoko Koizumi, Double and Wink. He was also active as a DJ and remixer.
He had a bicycle accident in 2014, fell into a coma and died two years later.
