Czech drummer, band leader.
Born November 23, 1922 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia), died August 21, 1968 near Ulan-Bator, Mongolia, in bus crash on tour with the Karel Duba Orchestra.
Member of the Karel Vlach Orchestra 1945–1946 and 1948–1958; at that time considered the best Czech jazz big band drummer. Leader of his own dance orchestra 1958–1965, member of the Karel Duba Orchestra 1965–1968.
