American bassist and vocalist. Born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Kochanski moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. In Boston, he co-founded alt-country band Swinging Steaks. He has also played with Lori McKenna, Big Al Anderson, Ronnie Earl and other New England musicians.
