Initially a solo project by Elizabeth Morris (ex-The Darlings), Allo Darlin' became a full band in 2009, and played their final shows in December 2016.
The name was briefly Allo, Darlin (comma, no apostrophe) and then Allo, Darlin' (comma, apostrophe) before they settled on Allo Darlin' (no comma, apostrophe) .
