Vladimir Vasilkov (1944-2013) is a Russian jazz drummer, often considered as one of the most skilled and vigorous performers in the USSR in the 1970s. He graduated from the Moscow Gnesin Music School in 1968.
Vasilkov became famous after performing with
German Lukyanov Trio at Moscow Jazz Festivals in 1965-66. He also played in

In 1973, Vasilkov became a member of Oleg Lundstrem Orchestra. He also worked at the
Leonid Utesov's Jazz Orchestra from 1974 to 1976 and formed a quartet with
Sergey Gurbeloshvili,
