Pioneering Zimbabwean hip-hop duo from Harare, Zimbabwe, made up of brothers Dumi Right and Akim, now based in Washington, D.C., United States and performing with lyrics in English.

The pioneering duo of Zimbabwe Legit signed with Hollywood BASIC in 1992 and released Doin' Damage in My Native Language, produced by Mista Lawnge of Black Sheep. As one publication put it, “The first African rap group to truly reach an international audience, Zimbabwe Legit came equipped with an amazing sense of humor, fierce politics, and a sharp understanding of history.”
