June 24, 1915-October 31, 1990. Sterling was the host of the Jack Sterling Show on WCBS, New York, from 1948-1966. The show was noted for it's relaxed chatter, joking, storytelling, interviews, and features on news and sports. It was also one the last radio programs to offer live music.
