Dutch radio DJ and TV presenter, born on March 12, 1967 in Sanpoort. Started his radio career at [l208248] in 1987, before moving to [l252406] in 1997, following up Hans Schiffers as the host of the long-running radio show Arbeidsvitaminen. He married actress Pieternel Pouwels (1995, divorced in 2000) and Monique Rietveld (2004), with whom he had a daughter named Jip. Rigter died of cancer shortly after his second marriage, on November 23, 2004 in Haarlem. A festival and a music prize were named in his honor.
