American country music singer, guitarist, DJ, and radio station owner.
Born c.1934 in Lubbock. Texas.
Died October 26, 1971 in Phoenix, Arizona, age of 37.
He was murdered by his girlfriend when he broke up with her.
He was the co-owner of the Lubbock, Texas, radio station W-Triple-L (KLLL), where Buddy Holly used to come a lot. He was also known as 'Slim' Corbin.
Corbin charted once as a singer and once as a songwriter, both in 1969 on the U.S. country charts. Corbin's Passin' Through hit #67 in January and Come On Home and Sing the Blues to Daddy by Bob Luman, written by Corbin hit #24 in February. Corbin wrote the song “You’re The One” with Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings.
