Enduring downtown NYC band (1978-1998) known for playing a mix of ska, R&B, funk, pop, and reggae. The core of the group (aka the Magic Six) were Nelson Keene Carse, Jamie Carse, Tony Orbach, Wyatt Sprague, Paul Vercesi, and Danny Lipman. Their horn section Urban Blight Horns occasionally appeared separately for session work. Among their drummers was Mackie Jayson (himself best known as a member of The Cro-Mags).
