Ian Terry is a Canadian sound engineer and producer. Carrying over 35-years of experience in audio recording, he has engineered and produced hundreds records. He ran Studio Tempo / Tempo Studios in Montreal from 1976 to 1996. Extensive travel for work has taken him to Montreal, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, London, Paris, Buenos Aires, South East Asia and South Africa.

Ian Terry is responsible for the excellent audio quality of the majority of Justin Time Records productions. He is a four-time Felix award winner and has received five Juno award nominations.

Ian started the first Canadian chapter of SPARS (Society for Professional Audio Recording Services), which in association with APRS (London), and JARPS (Japan) represent over 300 studios worldwide. He was the president of SPARS-QUEBEC for four years, and subsequently sat on the executive board of SPARS (USA) for five years, which is composed of major studio owners and key figures in the audio industry. SPARS–Quebec transformed into AsPrAudio.org and was the largest Canadian association of Audio Professionals.

Ian created a course entitled Aesthetics of Musical Production in 1992 for the Ministry of Education in Quebec and taught this course as well as Studio Recording Techniques and a Master Class of Production Techniques in public and private high schools for 7 years while continuing to produce and engineer multiple CDs each year.
