Welsh jazz critic and writer (professionally an architect), born February 24, 1928 in Pontypridd, Wales, died November 11, 2018.
Morgan began writing on jazz c. 1950 and contributed to Melody Maker from 1952, Jazz Journal 1951-1955 and Jazz Monthly 1955-1971. He also wrote about 2,500-3,000 liner notes. Also a reviewer for Gramphone magazine and a contributor to BBC radio programs about jazz.
