British classical timpanist, percussionist, and Professor of Orchestral Percussion.
He studied at the [l290263]. Whilst still at college, he started his professional career appearing with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, The Chamber Orchestra Of Europe and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He was a member of the Opera '80 touring company (later English Touring Opera) for three seasons from 1986 to 1988, and has performed at twenty five seasons of Glyndebourne Festival Opera with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Principal Timpani with the City Of London Sinfonia. Professor of Orchestral Percussion and head of the Drum/Percussion Department at the London College Of Music since 2003.
