Swedish musicologist who worked for many years at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and liner notes writer, born 15 June 1923 in Lidköping, died 17 November 2004 in Saltsjöbaden.
He published, among other things, the two heavy volumes Vår tids musik i norden and a Stenhammer biography. He is also usually mentioned as a participant in the Monday Group.
Since 2009, the Royal Academy of Music has annually awarded the Composer Prize in memory of Bo Wallner, which is awarded to a Swedish composer for his significant and rich artistic output. The prize sum is SEK 50,000 (2015).
