Tamara Kravtsova graduated from LGITMIK in 1947, she studied singing together with Galina Vishnevskaya. In 1946, being a student, she became a laureate of the 2nd All-Union Contest of Variety Artists. After graduating from the institute, she was an artist of the Lengostrada, and since 1948 - a variety theater of miniatures. In 1958, Kravtsova moved to Moscow and began to work at the Mosconcert.
Tamara Kravtsova gained fame as a pop singer with lyrical songs (The distant bonfires are burning, Do not be sad, Autumn, Autumn leaves, Silence) and songs of the peoples of the world, as well as a performer of musical feuilletons consisting of dialogues, scenes, songs, couplets, game reprises (In a department store, Teacher, My Motherland).
The friendly parodies of Клавдия Шульженко Изабелла Юрьева Тамара Церетели Рина Зеленая had great success with the public. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1968).
