Former director of A&R for [l14280], born in Jamaica and raised in New York, the son of reggae producer Clive Chin, and the grandson of Pat Chin and Vincent Randy Chin, who founded VP Records in Kingston, Jamaica in 1959.

At the age of 35, Joel was shot on August 16 2011 outside his home in Stony Hill, St. Andrew in Jamaica.
