Mic Geronimo (real name Michael Craig McDermon, born September 14, 1973, in Flushing, New York) is an American rapper known for his contributions to the 1990s underground hip-hop scene.
He gained recognition with his debut album The Natural (1995), featuring production from DJ Irv (later
Irv Gotti) and appearances by Jay-Z, DMX, and The LOX before they became mainstream stars. His gritty lyricism and streetwise storytelling resonated with fans of East Coast hip-hop. His second album, Vendetta (1997), marked a shift towards a more commercial sound, including collaborations with Puff Daddy and the Bad Boy camp. Despite industry changes, Mic Geronimo remained respected for his early work, which showcased his raw talent and authentic representation of New York hip-hop.
