Born March 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - died September 4, 2022 in New York City, New York.
The novelist was known for horror stories, including Ghost Story, Koko, Mr. X, Interior Darkness and Shadow Land - he also collaborated with Stephen King for the books The Talisman and Black House. Also a jazz fan, Straub has written liner notes for several CDs.
